BuilderLync Go-Live Checklist

White-glove onboarding

Your go-live checklist.

Work top-to-bottom with your account manager, or on your own between calls. When every box here is ticked, your BuilderLync workspace is ready to run your business — proposals, invoices, SMS, and your team all set up against your real book of customers.

01

Account set up

You'll be at app.builderlync.com

Get the owner (that's you) signed in for the first time. Everything downstream assumes this login is working.

02

Business info

Settings → Business Info

This is the company detail that flows onto every proposal, invoice, and automated message your customers see. Fill it before you build a single template.

03

Brand board

Settings → Brand Board

Your colors live here. Proposals, your booking page, and customer-facing widgets all render against this palette.

04

Your team

Settings → Staff

Roles first, then people — that way each invite carries the right permissions from the start.

05

Your contacts

Contacts page → Import

Load your existing leads and customers so you're not starting cold on day one. Pick one path — CSV or QuickBooks — depending on where your book of business lives today.

06

Integrations

Settings → Integrations

Wire up the outside services you actually use. Only QuickBooks is strongly recommended for everyone — the rest depend on your trade and tool stack.

Skip anything that doesn't apply — a shorter list of real connections beats a long list of half-finished ones.

07

Twilio phone + SMS optional

Settings → Integrations → Twilio

Only needed if you want to send SMS or receive inbound calls through BuilderLync. You can skip this entirely at launch and add it later — nothing downstream breaks without it.

You're ready to go live when…

Every box above is ticked, and these four things work end-to-end:

  • You can draft a proposal and it renders in your brand colors with your logo on it.
  • Your team can log in and see the contacts, jobs, and settings relevant to their role.
  • Your existing customers are searchable in the Contacts page.
  • If you set up Twilio: you can send and receive a test SMS from a contact record.

After that, the optional modules — Sierra AI, Job Cam, Automations, custom proposal templates, the public booking page, Google Calendar sync — are yours to explore. Your account manager will walk you through whichever matter most to your business on a follow-up call about two weeks out.
